Running a BB Company
The Northern Ireland Boys’ Brigade (BBNI) provides age-appropriate out of school activities for children and young people aged 4 – 18 years.
Activities offered are generally referred to as the programme and are designed to be fun, challenging, exciting and inclusive for all.
There are three age groups (sections) in BBNI:
- Anchors: for 4 – 8-year-olds (P1 – P4)
- Juniors: for 8 – 11-year-olds (P5 – P7)
- Company & Seniors: for 11 – 18-year-olds (Year 8 up)
Recognition: All age groups earn badges as they take part in the varied activities over a session.

BBNI provides leaders with a wide range of training opportunities, ensuring leaders have the knowledge and skills equip them in their role as a BB Leader.
